Crafty ribbons Christmas event - day 19

Hey, hey! How are you doing? Are you done with Christmas preperations yet? Most of my gifts are already wrapped, I just want to bake some more cookies and then I'll be ready. Only 2 more work days for me and then I have a week off. Yeehaw! :D

Have you checked the Crafty ribbons inspiration blog for your chance to win one of the amazing prizes from our sponsors? No? What are you waiting for?! Hop, hop, check the blog out. ;) Today we are again sponsored by Ali and Tony from Crafty ribbons and here's the awesome prize they are offering to the lucky winner.

I have another non Christmas card to show you today.

The sentiment on this card is one of my favourite quotes. I think it's very true. If you truly believe in yourself, you can do anything. This is a Stempelglede stamp. I had quite some troubles getting my hands on it, but with the help of my sweet friend Charlotta I got it. :) I embossed the sentiment with Queen's gold embossing powder from Ranger. The papers are from my stash. I cut the butterflies out from Artsy collage's Nature collage kit. Butterfly die is from Joy Crafts, border die I used on the bottom of my card is from Spellbinders and banner die is from LLLC. The tan satin ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and flowers are from my stash. In the middle of each flower I put a gold brad.On the bottom of my card I also used crystals that were cut from a gold mesh. I used the same crystals on the banner as well.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Deep ocean: Something old (old papers, ribbon, flowers)
Bearly mine: Anything goes
Simon says (Monday challenge): Use a stamp

Crafty ribbons Christmas event - day 16

Hey, hey! I'm back again - with yet another card. But this time it's not Christmas card. I know, miracles do happen. lol I enjoy making Christmas cards, but it was nice making a non-Christmas card for a change.

The Christmas advent event is still going on at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog, so hop there to be in the chance to win one of the awesome prizes from our sponsors. Today you have a chance to win this amazing prize from Letraset.

I'm sure you wouldn't mind these markers, right? ;)

Here's the the card I made.

I decided to make a card with the adorable Dress up Marci from LLLC. I coloured the image with Promarkers and I did the shading with Faber Castell pencils. On Marci's necklace and flower I used glitter glue. Papers, flowers, doily and pearls came from my stash. The beautiful flower ribbon and lace are from Crafty ribbons. On the oval behind Marci I used some embossing powder. I just grabbed some with my fingers and sprinkled it around the oval. The first time I did this I wanted to use my heat gun directly on the embossing powder - you know, like usually. Mistake! I had embossing powder all over the place. So I tried again - and this time I put my heat gun under the cardstock and heated the embossing powder from below. And it worked! :)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
7 kids college fund: Anything goes
Divas by design: Anything goes
Bunny Zoe's crafts: Wings
The corrosive challenge blog: Anything goes
Crafty catz: Anything goes
TokBobok: Anything goes

Crafty ribbons Christmas event - day 15

Good morning. Only 10 more days for THE day. Yup, Christmas is just around the corner. I mailed my last Christmas cards yesterday and I hope they will get to my friends in time. Have you mailed all your cards yet?

Yesterday we also put our Christmas tree up and decorated the apartment. It looks great! When do you usually decorate your house and put up your Christmas tree? We wanted to do it last weekend, but we ran out of time.

If you want to get an extra present this Christmas, hop to the Crafty ribbons inspiration blog. There we have a Christmas event going on and each day one of our generous sponsors is offering a wonderful prize to the lucky winner. Today, for example, we are sponsored by The paper shelter and they are offering this to wonderful prize to the lucky winner.

I made a Christmas card using one of their adorable images.

I only used some red, white and kraft cardstock for this card. For the background I used the white cardstock which I embossed with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder and then inked it with ink pad. I coloured the image with distress inks and I also added glitter glue on the white parts of Santa's dress. Big poinsettia is Marianne design die, small poinsettia is LLLC die and the "leaves" are Tim Holtz die (cut with the Festive greenery die). Sequins and pearls are from my stash. I also used 3 ribbons on my card - ho ho ho ribbon (back side), tan satin ribbon and swiss dots ribbon. They are all available at the Crafty ribbons store.

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
A creative romance: Sparkle at Christmas
Creative card crew: Holly or poinsettia
Rhedd and Rosie's challenge blog: Use old stash (those sequins have been in my stash for ages - literally and the ribbons are at least one year old too)
Totally gorjuss: Special Christmas
Papertake weekly: Christmas creatures
The paper parade: Christmas

Crafty ribbons Christmas event - day 12

Hey hey! Can you believe that Christmas is less than 2 weeks away? Eeeek! I'm still not fully in the Christmas spirit (no idea why not though - usually I get all Christmassy in November), but I'm getting there. :)

In case you didn't know, we have a Christmas event going on at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog. We have lots of generous sponsors who have donated lots of wonderful prizes. And yes, you can win them! :D Today we are sponsored by the sweet Ali and Tony from Crafty ribbons and they are offering this amazing prize to the lucky winner.

If you want to treat yourself with some gorgeous ribbons from Crafty ribbons store, all you have to do is to leave your info with Mr. Linky.

We also have a new challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. A nice and easy one - anything goes with ribbons. This is our last challenge of 2013. I hope many of you will come play with us.

I made a Christmas tag this time.

Sorry for the bad picture, but it was pitch black outside when I took it so I had to experiment with lights and camera settings. I don't think this photo does the tag justice. It looks much better in real life. *sigh* I know it looks like as if I used black cardstock on my tag, but I used a very dark (think dark chocolate) brown shimmery paper which I love. I then added some star paper from Folia on top. The cute little snowman is from Hero arts/Sizzix stamps and dies set. I added tome colour to his nose and scarf and I covered him with glitter glue. Snowflakes are from the same set as well. I added a gem from my stash in the middle of each snowflake. Corner is Whimsy die and all three ribbons I used on this tag are from Crafty ribbons

I'd like to enter my tag to the following challenges:
Challenges 4 everybody: Anything goes
Through the craft room door: Anything goes
Dream valley: Anything but a card

Christmas event - day 10

Hi there! How are you? Good I hope. Have you sent a letter to Santa yet? I have. And I didn't forget to mention that this year I was extra good. He he.

I have already finished my Christmas shopping. I only have a couple of handmade gifts to finish. First half is already finished and the other half will probably be done by the end of this week. And today I mailed most of the Christmas cards to my friends overseas so they would get them on time. Once for a change I seem to be on top of everything. Yay for me. lol

Today I want to show you another card I made for the Christmas event that's been going on at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog. Our sponsor today is KennyK so if you like his images be sure to leave your name with Mr. Linky, because you could win some. :)

I decided to play with Kenny K's Cookies for Santa image. I coloured the girl with distress inks and then I added glitter glue on the white part of her dress and hat.  The patterned papers are from my stash and the white cardstock pieces were embossed with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder and with Couture creations' powder puff embossing folder. Corners were mady with Whimsy die. Ribbon is from Crafty ribbons (you can find it here) and pearls are from my stash.

Don't forget to hop to the CRPI blog to see what my teamies made and don't forget to leave your information with Mr. Linky. And if you are just joining us today, you might want to check previous posts too. Just saying' ... ;)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Crafty ribbons Christmas event day 5 and challenge

Hey, hey! The Crafty ribbons Christmas event is still going on at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog, but today we also have a new challenge for you at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. Yup, a lot has been going on. lol

Our sweet Ali and Tony from Crafty ribbons are sponsoring Christmas event today.

You could win an amazing prize just by leaving your name with Mr. Linky at the Crafty ribbons inspiration blog. Easy peasy, right?

And if you decide to come and participate in our challenge (which I hope you will!), you could win another yummy ribbon prize. How awesome is this?!

I decided to make a criss cross card. My friend Nicole was talking about making one the other day and she got me inspired to try and make one myself as well. This is the first one I've made so far - one thing to cross of my "things to do" list. :)

I made this card for my friend (Katie, I hope you are not peaking!!!). I wanted to do something special, something a bit different, so here it is. I used my new papers from Papermania. Aren't they beautiful?! I love them. I used Yeti Yumi from Yumi and Fumi Handmade and 'Tis the season sentiment stamp from Hobby Lobby. I coloured Yumi with distress inks and I also added some glitter glue on the lights. Then I raised her on foam pades and glued it on my card. I cut the sentiment apart, raised it on foam pads and then glued it on the oval which I previously embossed with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder. I covered the sentiment with glitter glue too. Then I just added some sequins, die cut flowers and 25 mm white satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons and this is the result. I hope Katie will like it!

I'd like to enter my project to the following challenges:
Allsorts: Insired by a Christmas song/carol (my carol is "Deck the halls" - 'Tis the season to be jolly ...)

I'm not telling youwhat the prize is. You will have to hop to the CRPI blog to find out. *naughty grin*

I have another Christmas card to show you.

I used an image from our sponsor, Tiddly Inks. :) I don't know about you, but I really like their images. I think they are very cute! This one is called "Winter wishes Wryn". This image was coloured with distress inks and I added some liquid applique on girl's dress and cap. Around the image I glued some small gold stars from my stash. The sentiment is in Slovenian and it means "happy holidays". Papers are from Folia and ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - you can find it here. Sequins, crystals and pearls are from my stash. I also used several Spellbinders and LLLC dies on for this card.

Heya! It's day 2 of our Christmas event at Crafty ribbons. If you are just joining us now, you might want to check yesterday's post at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog as well - just a hint. ;)

Today we are sponsored by Letraset and they are offering this amazing prize to the lucky winner ...
Don't forget to leave your name with Mr. Linky if you want a chance to win these markers. ;)

I decided to make a card with the sweet Pickle from Wild rose studio. I just love this little fella, he always brings smile to my face. :)

Isn't he cute?! I kept this card pretty simple because I wanted the image to stand out. I coloured Pickle with Promarkers and on the white part of the hat I used Liquid applique. The papers are from Folia, ribbons are from Crafty ribbons and sequins are from my stash. The white cardstock behind Pickle was embossed with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folders. I then inked the raised dots with my copper ink pad.

So much from me. Now hop over to CRPI blog to see all the beautiful creations from my teamies. And don't forget to leave your name with Mr. Linky. :)

'Tis the season

***This is my second post today. For my Crafty ribbons Christmas event post please scroll down.***

Hey, hey! I've been really busy making Christmas cards lately. Again I'm doing things at the very last minute, but I'm already used to it.

I recently got some new Christmas stamps from Yumi and Fumi Handmade and I just couldn't wait to play with them. I decided to use one of them (Yeti Yumi) for our new challenge. This time we have a photo inspiration challenge for you. Here's the photo we hope will inspire you to make something ...

Isn't it beautiful?! I wish my living room would look like this!! You have a whole month to make something and enter the challenge at our blog. We hope many of you will come play with us!

Anyways ... Here's the card I made ...

Isn't this image awesome? I love it and I know I will be using it a lot! :) You can find Yeti Yumi at the Yumi and Fumi Handmade store. I coloured Yumi with distress inks and then I added some glitter glue on the lights as well (but unfortunately you can't see this in the photo). The star paper is from Folia and the rest of the papers are from my stash. I distressed the edges with scissors. The poinsettia and stars were cut out with LLLC dies. Doily and pearls are from my stash and ribbons are from Crafty ribbons. I embossed the tag with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder and then inked it with copper ink pad. The sentiment is a clear stamp from Hobby Lobby. Over it I also added some glitter glue. The decorative border was made with my border punch. I raised Yumi and sentiment on foam pads.

I hope you will come play with us!

Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

It all adds to the fact that this time of the year is so magical. I also love doing Christmas shopping and preparing gifts for my family and friends. It's a season of giving after all, right? ;)

And to spread the joy of Christmas around, we at Crafty ribbons decided to have a special Christmas event. Each day you will be treated with lots of amazing creations by the design team and we also have sponsors for each day which means you have the chance to win a lot of amazing prizes! On the first day of the event our sponsor is Lily of the valley. They are offering the lucky winner a 10 GBP voucher to spend in their store.

I wish I could enter the candy draw too - I love their images. lol

I made a card using their Milly winter window image.

Isn't this image cute? I bought it a couple of years ago and it's still one of my favourites. :) I coloured the image with distress inks and I added some glitter glue on the white part of Milly's cap and dress. I cut the image out with Spellbinders' Labelsix dies. The star paper I used for the background is from Folia and the rest of the papers are from my stash. The beautiful ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - you can find it here. Stars were cut out with Nellie Snellen dies. I added some glitter glue on them, raised them on foam pads and then added them to the card. The dark brown border was made with my Cart us die and the border under the image was made with my border punch. Doily and blue plastic dots are from my stash.

Sleepy stocking

Hey, hey! How was your weekend? Good, I hope. I was a good girl - I made several Christmas cards. Yay for me!! lol I can't show you many of them just yet (because I made them for the Christmas advent event that we'll be having at Crafty ribbons in December - see below for more information), but I can show you this one ...

My friend let me borrow her House Mouse stamp and I couldn't wait to play with it. I never thought I'd say this, because I'm scared of these little creatures (mice), but ... Aren't these mousies adorable? I love them! I had quite some problems with putting this card together, because I couldn't find the right papers. But this was a good excuse for me to do some shopping today. He he. I coloured the image with distress inks. The green and red DPs are from Provo Craft and I created the brownish papers myself (I used white cardstock, TH distress inks, Memento rich cocoa ink pad and Kaisercraft and Stampabilities stamps). I distressed the edges with my scissors and then inked them with TH brushed corduroy distress ink. The star ribbon you see on top of my card is from Folia. I used Nellie Snellen star dies for the stars. The sentiment (Merry Christmas) was cut from one DP that I had in my stash. Once I cut it out I inked the edges, raised it on foam pads and glued it on the card. The sentiment was already covered with glitters, so this was a bonus. :)

I hope you like it! Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
House mouse and friends: Favourite things (Christmas is my favourite holiday)
Bunny Zoe's: Shabby chic/vintage (I chose vintage)
Oozak: Holidays and anything goes
Sweet stampin': Cause for celebration
A creative romance: Vintage style
One crazy stamper: Christmas
Bearly mine: Christmas traditional colours (red, green) using die cuts
Crafty sentiments: Christmas
Designed to color: Christmas

Graduation card

Heya! It's finally Friday! Yay! :D I have a long weekend ahead (I'm off work on Monday) andI'mplanning to make several Christmas cards. Fingers crossed I will make it! Have you made all your Christmas cards yet?

The other day my friend asked me to make a card for her step daughter who just graduated from the university. I put my thinking card on and here's what I came up with ...

This is the first graduation card I've made. At first I wasn't sure which image to use, but when I checked my digi collection I noticed I have this adorable owl image from Mel Jen's. Isn't it cute?! I love it! I coloured it with distress inks. Papers, pearls, gems, ribbon and papers are from my stash. I used several dies on this card. The butterfly border is from Joy crafts, corners are from Whimsy, Flowers and leaves are from Marianne design and floral oval and tag are from Spellbinders. The sentiment says "congrats". I embossed the oval with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
The sketchy challenges: Sketch (I rotated it)
Totally Gorjuss: 3 patterned papers
Divas by design: Make it pretty
Fab'n'funky: Anything goes
Sparkles: Animals

I used the tag template that sweet Katie shared on her blog (see the tutorials page). Isn't it great? I decided to use the light blue cardstock as my base and then layered the embossed and inked white piece of cardstock on top. Then I cut out the circles with my Spellbinders and Quick kutz dies. The brown flowers were cut with TH Tattered florals die and the yellow flowers are from my stash. Butterflies are made with my craft punch. For my image I used the cute Yumi from Yumi and Fumi Handmade store. She's coloured with TH distress inks. The sentiment is a G Studio stamp. I cut the sentiment out with my scissors and I added some pearls on it. Fibbon is from my stash.

So, can you guess what my 3 favourite embellishments are? If you guessed ribbon, flowers and pearls you are right. :D So, I'm giving these away. ;) Not the same as I used on my tag, but I hope you like them anyways. A Christmas card at last

Hey, hey! Only 42 more days till Christmas! I'm really looking forward to this time of the year - it's my favourite!!! :) I can't believe I haven't done any Christmas shopping yet though. Eeeek!!! I'm running behind - again. *sigh* Have you done any yet?

I'm also running behind with my Christmas cards - almost feels like a deja vu. Each year I start early to avoid this Christmas rush, but then when December comes I'm still not ready. :S Oh well, I still have some time left to make a couple.

Here's the one I made a couple of days ago for the Crafty ribbons challenge that just started today. Our theme is "anything goes with ribbon" so I hope many of you will come play with us. As I said, I made a Christmas card.

I soooooo love this adorable penguin (he goes by the name "Pickle" :D) from Wild rose studio. Everytime I see this cutie I get the "awwwww" moment. lol I colored this little fella with distress inks and I added glitter glue on the white part of the hat. The star cardstock I used for the background is from Folia and other than that I only used plain white, red and kraft cardstock from my stash. I used my scissors to distress the edges. Some pieces of white cardstock were embossed with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder and then inked with copper stamp pad and on the "square" piece of white cardstock behind Pickles I stamped with Stampabilities' faded text background stamp and then inked the edges. I used several different dies on this card - Labels one, Labels one small and Fancy tags are Spellbinders dies, the swirl is cut from one Marianne design die and poinsettias were made with La-La Land die that I received from my sweet, sweet friend (she knows who she is). Thank you bunches!!! In the middle of each poinsettia and on the tags I added a pearl from my stash. I also used summer breeze ribbon - zipper red from the Crafty ribbons store.

We're looking forward to seeing your creations with ribbons! :)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Crafty calendar: All things Christmas
Deep ocean: Winter
Sweet stampin': Christmas is coming
Hanna and friends: Glitter (I used glitter glue on the white part of Pickle's hat - sorry because it's hard too see this in the picture)

So thankful!

Gooooood morning! I woke up in such a good mood today! No special reason for it, I just did. I hope you woke up with the smile on your face too and that you will have a wonderful Sunday!

It's time for a new challenge at Yumi and Fumi Handmade blog. This time our theme is "so thankful". Perfect theme for this time of year, don't you think so? I think it's always good to have a "thank you" card ready to be mailed out.

I made a card using Fumi with gift - yes, again! I absolutely love this image. It's so versatile and can be used for pretty much any occassion.

I colored the image with distress inks. The red piece of paper is from Provo Craft and the yellow paper is from my stash. Ribbons and gems came from my stash as well. The decorative border under the ribbon and floral oval dies are from Spellbinders. Behind the floral oval die I used the heart tree die from La-La Land crafts. I think it looks great, sort of like a doily. Butterflies were made with my craft punch. I embossed the oval with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder. The sentiment ("thank you") is a Fiskars stamp. I cut it out with my scissors.

I hope many of you will join our challenge. We're looking forward to see your creations! Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Bearly mine: Anything goes
Card makin' mamas: Thankful tidings
Inky impressions: Dies and punches
Wags 'n Whiskers: Fall colours
Oozak: Anything goes with thanks
My mum's craft shop: Autumn colours
The rubber buggy: Charm it up (or bling) - I chose bling
Bunny Zoe's crafts: Ribbon
613 Avenue create: Anything goes with optional twist "holiday thanks"

A bookmark for a little girl

Where did the week go?! I have a feeling my week off work just started - but it's already come to the end. Can't believe I need to go to work tomorrow already! O.o Time just flew by! But I guess it's always like this when you are having fun, right?

The other day I was asked to make a bookmark for an 8 years old girl who loves to read. I love making corner bookmarks, so I decided to make one like this.

I decided to use soft pastel colours for the bookmark and the adorable teddy image from Folia. I colored the image with distress inks, cut it out with my craft knife, raised it on foam pads and glued it on the bookmark. As for the paper goes, I only used scraps of papers that I had in my stash. I was asked to write the girl's name on the bookmark too. So I used my alphabet stamps from G studio and stamped "Katarina" (girl's name). I cut each stamp seperately and glued them at the bottom. I didn't embellish the bookmark a lot. I just did some dots around the circle with my Viva decor pearl pen and I also used some beautiful pink ribbon from Crafty ribbons. I also used my border punch, Spellbinders' picot edge circle die and Quick cutz' circle die. The circle behind the image was embossed with Cuttlebug's Polka dot embossing folder.

I hope Katarina will like it!

Something completely different

Those of you who know me know, that I am not a big fan of Halloween or any kind of spooky things. But we did have a party for Halloween here so I decided to make a couple of small beaded spiders for decorating. My sweetie carved a pumpkin and made 2 string balls. And then we needed spiders to put on those string balls. We fisrt thought about buying a couple of plastic ones, but since Halloween isn't big here (and because we thought about it a day before Halloween), we didn't find any. When we got home, I was checking some videos on YouTube and I found this amazing video tutorial on beaded spiders. And I thought they actually looked cool (I've never thought I'd say this about ANY spider!)!!! And I decided to give them a try. I haven't done any beading for ages (literally!) so I was out of practice and it took me quite some time to have these spiders made. But I am still quite happy with how they turned out. Here's the picture of them ...

If you want to make some yourself too, check out this video tutorial. It's very easy to follow and Aleshia explains everything very well.

Also, if you like ribbons read further, because I'm about to tell you how to win a £20 voucher for your shopping spree at the Crafty ribbons store.

A card for Mandy

***This is my second post today. For my Yumi and Fumi Handmade challenge post please click here.***

The card I'm about to show you was made for a very special lady. It was made for Mandy. Mandy is one very talented lady and one very sweet person. Ans she's also the one who brought the Crafty ribbons challenge blog to life. This was her baby and she was definitely one of the best DT co-ordinators. But due to some health issues and some other things she decided to step down from the team and take a break from blogging. She is missed by all her Crafty ribbons teamies so we decided to make a surprise for her. Each DT  member created something and then sent their creation to Mandy. We hope they will make her smile! :) Please hop to the Crafty ribbons inspiration blog to see all the beautiful creations from my teamies.

Here's what I made for her ...

I used several of my favourite things on this card, so I hope she will like it! This Tilda image is one of my favourites and I coloured her with distress inks. Around the image I stamped with Magnolia Chocolat stamp. I distressed the edges with my scissors and then inked them with TH distress ink. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and you can find it here. In the background I stamped with Stampabilities' Faded text background stamp. The papers are from Provocraft and Nature collage kit from Artsy collage. The gems are from my stash. I also used my border punches and several different dies from Marianne design and Spellbinders.

I hope Mandy will like this card!

Hugs! xx

Tag in Halloween colours

Hey hey! Happy Sunday! :) I hope you've been enjoying your weekend so far. I am! :) Yesterday my sweetie took me to a city abput 45 km far from here and we had a wonderful day! It was sunny and warm - you wouldn't have guessed it's nearly November!! We went out for lunch and did some shopping. I bought a new top and while I was in the clothes store my sweetie went to the craft store and bought me a pack of adorable teddy stamps which he gave me as a surprise when we got home. Isn't this sweet of him?!

Anyways, as you probably know by know, Sunday is the day when a new challenge starts at Yumi and Fumi Handmade blog. This time it's a colour challenge - we want to see orange, purple, black and green on your projects.

I have to admit this one was VERY tough for me. These are not the colours I would use on my projects often, especially not together. So it was one of those uh-oh moments when I found out about this challenge theme. After scratching my head for a while I decided to make a tag. I gathered the papers, my Fumi with gift stamp, dies and other card making supplies and after all the cutting and coloring was doen, this is what came out ...

What do you think? Do you like it? I hope you do! I coloured the image with distress inks. I used foam pads to glue Fumi on the tag. The stars and doily circle are Nellie Snellen dies. The corner is my corner punch. Both ribbons I used on the tag are from Crafty ribbons.

It's a really simple tag, but I hope you like it anyway. And I hope you will come and play with us too! :)

Hugs! xx

Christmas decoration - altered star

Heya! Happy Thursday! Not long to go for the weekend. Do you have any plans yet? I have a whole next week off and I plan to spend quite some time in my crafty corner. Sounds good, doesn't it? ;) Plus, I also plan to do some blog hopping. I've been pretty busy lately so I'm afraid I haven't been the best blogging buddy. *oops* Sorry about that!

A new challenge just started at Crafty ribbons challenge blog and this week we want to see anything except cards. Let your creativity go wild! :) I decided to alter a metal star that I bought in the store the other day. I didn't add a whole lot of things, but I like how it turned out. I think I will go and buy a couple of more of them.

To decorate this star I just used some die cuts, punched snowflakes and a 10 mm  gingham ribbon from Crafty ribbons store. For the center I used the sweet little Ice Tilda from Magnolia mini world. I colored her with distress inks and I added some glitter glue on her earmuffs, hand muff and on her skates (though the glitters are almost impossible to see on this picture). And that's everything I've done. I told you I kept this decoration simple. ;)

I hope you like my project and that you will come play with us!
Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my project to the following challenges:
Magnolia-licious: Anything goes
Crafty little fairies: Anything goes
Designed to color: Tie it up

Saying "thank you" with flowers

Hey, hey! :) I so love when I have long weekends. I didn't have to go to work today and I am off tomorrow as well so I can do all that work around the apartment and I am even left with some free time for crafting. :D

The card I'm about to show you was made for the sweet Mina (her creations are very beautiful so stop by her blog and have a look). I was lucky enough to win a wonderful candy at her blog a short while ago and as a thank you I sent her this card. She's already received it so it's safe for me to post it here. :)

For my main image I used the sweet Tilda with big tulips and I coloured her with distress inks. Around Tilda I stamped with Magnolia chocolate stamp. The papers are from my stash. I distressed them with my scissors.  There are three different ribbons on this card - the polka dot ribbon which I had in my stash, the Webster's Pages bloomers ribbon (bottom of my card) which was a gift from my amazing friend Rosie and the bead string ribbon which is from Crafty ribbons. The flowers and gems on the butterflies are from my stash. Butterflies were made with MS punch and the lacy border was made with border punch.

Have a wonderful week!
Hugs! xx
