Christmas gift bag

Hey hey! I hope you are enjoying your week so far and that the weather is nicer where you live than it is here. We've been getting rain, rain and more rain over the last couple of days. So this means all my planned trips around the country are postponed. Oh well, at least I have some more time for crafting, which is not bad either. :)

I made another gift bag that I'd like to show you. This one is for Christmas. I've decided that this year I'll be giving away Christmas gifts in either gift bags like this one or in the handmade gift boxes (which I still have to make) - depending on the size (and shape) of the gift. So, here's the gift bag I made recently.

I used another of Mo Manning's adorable images. This one is called Winter fairy Talva. As usually, I did the coloring with distress inks. I had some pom pom trim in my stash and I used it to frame the oval behind Talva. Doily, lace and sequins came from my stash as well. I embossed the oval with Cottage floral embossing folder by Craft concepts. The big snowlake is cut out with Marianne design die and the small ones were cut with Sizzix die. Snowflakes were cut out of white cardstock, which I later covered with Stickles. I used Stickles on Talva's wings, snowball and on parts of Talva's dress as well.

The ribbon I used for the handles is from Crafty ribbons.

Little fairy gift bag

Hey, hey! How are you doing? I'm enjoying my time off (while it still lasts). Me and my sweetie were planning to do some short trips around the country, but the weather forcast hasn't been very nice and we didn't want to spend another day at home, so yesterday we decided that we'll go on a "trip" to Ikea instead. This isn't bad either, right? ;) We bought some decorations for our home and I did some clothes shopping in the nearby shopping center as well.

Anyways, I was also able to do some crafting in the last couple of days. I wanted to do something a little bit different, so I made a gift bag. This was so fun to make. It's the first gift bag I made out of a brown paper bag, but definitely not the last. You'll definitely be seeing more of those in the future. ;)

What do you think? I was really pleased with how it turned out. I really like this Mo Manning image. Isn't it adorable? Just too cute! I coloured it with distress inks and I added stickles on the wings. Papers are from Magnolia (Summer memories collection). I've had this big lace in my stash for a while, but wasn't sure what to do with it, because I thought it was a little bit too big for the cards, but I think it's perfect for this paper bag. And on top of it I added some red lace from my stash as well. All of the flowers are from my stash and so are the doily and the red ribbon. The dies I used on this project are from Spellbinders, TH, Cart Us and Quick Kutz. Butterflies were made with my craft punch.

And here's the close up of an image ...

Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx

Romance novel mini album

Hey, hey! I'm back again - I just came home from my holidays. Me and my sweetie were in England for a week, visiting friends. We had a wonderful time. We got to see different parts of England (London, Milton Keynes, Portsmouth ...) and we got a taste of typical english weather as well. ;)

I haven't done any crafting while I was away, but I still have something to show you ...

Before I went on holiday I managed to finish a mini album. I made it for one of my lovely crafty friends. I know she's been wanting one for a while so I decided to surprise her with it. ;) She's already received it so now it's safe for me to post photos of the album on my blog.

All of the papers I used in this mini are from Prima's Romance novel paper pad. Since this is a paper bag mini album, there are also pockets for the tags. I didn't take photos of those, but if you want, scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you can see a video of this mini album - how the flaps open, the tags pulled out etc.

Right, now on to some photos ...

This is the cover of the mini album. As you can see I used lots of different paper flowers. I made the rolled ones myself and the others came from my stash. For the center of the flowers I used golden brads. The bead strings and crochet lace came from my stash as well. I added a doily behind the flowers. And there's a bird cage charm in the middle of the flowers as well. I cut the balloon from the paper pad and raised it on foam pads to give the cover some dimension.

This is the first page of my mini. As you can see I used more crochet lace and some black dots from my stash. The sentiment came with the paper pad and the butterfly is a sticker from Punch Studio.

Second page - here I created a flap with pocket in which I put 2 tags that I cut from the paper pad. I created the pocket with lace and I added a flower sticker from K&Co. as a decoration.

Here I created another flap. In the down right corner of the flap I first glued white Prima flower and than I added another K&Co. flower sticker in the middle of it. The flowers were cut with TH Vintage market die. I covered all the letters with glitter glue. On the top and in the bottom I used some adhesive crystals.

I created a flap on this page as well. The decorative border of the flap was made with my craft punch and I added some adhesive pearls as a decoration. In the bottom right corner I glued another K&Co. flower sticker. I used a paper clip to add some tags to the flap.

I kept this page very simple, because I didn't want to cover the papers. I just added some lace and beaded trim on the top, some sequins to the bottom and I added the sentiment "beautiful" on the balloon. The sentiment is raised on foam pads.

Another very simple page. I just used some butterfly stickers and some black dots. The sentiment came with the paper pad and is raised on foam pads.

Another page with a flap. On the bottom of a flap I added some lace and on the right side I added some adhesive pearls. I used a paper clip to attach some little tags on the flap.

Here I created a page with a pocket for a bigger tag. The border is made with craft punch and decorated with adhesive pearls. There's also another small pocket that holds a couple of small tags for journaling or small pictures.

I just used some lace, bead sting and flowers to decorate this page.

This is the last page of the mini album. I added some flowers in the corners and compelted the page with beaded string-

And this is the back of the mini album.

Phew, that was a lot of photos, but you still can't see everything in them. So if you want to see more details of this mini, check out the video:

A special card for a special person

Hey, hey? How are you doing? I'm enjoying my time off. :D I went on a short trip yesterday with my sweetie and today I've been having a veeeeery easy day. I've been playing catch-up with my e-mails and messages on FB, watched a movie on DVD etc. Over the weekend I'm planning to do some beading. Fingers crossed I will actually get to it. ;)

Yesterday one of my big wishes came true. I got to try macarons. Yay! :D I've been wanting to try them for a loooong time, but since they are quite hard to find around here, I haven't had the chance yet. But yesterday I saw them at the store and even though they were quite pricey, I had to buy them. It was a mix of different flavours and I like all except coffee flavour. Yuck. Do you have your favourite?

The card I'm about to show you was made for the lovely Linda as a thank you. She's already received it so it's safe for me to post it here. :) Unfortunately I forgot to check the pictures before I sent the card out, so I didn't know that when I was taking the pictures my camera settings were a bit off and therefore the pictures weren't the best. :S

All of the papers and embellishments came from my stash. I used Tilda with peony for my center image and coloured it with Promarkers and Faber castell pencils. The oval is Spellbinders die and the embossing was done with Craft concepts' embossing folder. Small flowers were made with my craft punch. The butterflies were made with Memory box die. I don't own this die, so my friend kindly let me borrow hers to make a few die cuts. Hvala Ivi! :)

So, that's all from me today. Sending you big hugs! :) xx
